Violinists Joanna Westers and Annebeth Webb are the duo Due Lune. With their album Random Repertoire For Two Violins, Webb and Western prove that they play excellently and also have very good knowledge of different genres. The program consists of two concertos by Antonio Vivaldi and Johann Sebastian Bach, in which Bach does not hide that he is very impressed of his seven years older colleague from Italy. It also features two suites for two violins and piano by Dmitri Shostakovich and his Polish counterpart Moritz Moszkowski. These works from the twentieth century form a beautiful contrast with the works of Vivaldi and Bach. Particularly amusing is the textual contribution of Thomas Beijer (English and Dutch) which Beijer searches for the links between the works played.
